Paula and Greg Wedding Day - Sneek Peak

Paula and Greg thanks so much for allowing me and my crew (Lori and Jamie) to come and be apart of your wedding day!! It turned out to be such a fun day today even with the weather being funny for this time of year. We had so many really great people to make it a really wonderful night with your Mom making the best wedding cake and Nita taking care of the planning and details as well as just everyone involved really contributing to make it a wonderful day for both of you.

I know your flight is early tomorrow but wanted you to have something to see before flying off to St Lucia. I hope you have a wonderful honeymoon and Lori and I will be in touch when you get back in town. Get some rest and enjoy the trip, you deserve it!!! Thanks so much!!

Collage Design - Juggling pictures for a great layout

First off Thanks Eric and Maria for letting me run with my idea of the juggling session for our After Wedding Session. It was great to be able to go out and put together a really cool shoot and really bring out their personalities as a couple and then design this collage for Eric's Birthday. Way to go Maria for coming up with the surprise of doing the collage for Eric. As many of you know I do collages for Seniors, Children and Baby Sessions but rarely for a hobby. Once we got to talking about it I knew I would really enjoy creating a unique layout and custom design for Eric to enjoy for years to come. This makes the photographs look so much better than how they stand on their own. Not bragging on my work...well maybe a little but really just how the project was cool to conceptualize and then put together. We started off in the studio for a series of shot with the 2 of them and then Eric juggling. We then went downtown just a few minutes from the studio as the sun was setting. Stopped off at Printers Alley for a few minutes and get some cool pictures. We even had a guy ask Eric to light his cigarette with one of his juggling torches. Funny stuff unless he set his hair on fire but it all worked out. :-)

Thanks guys!!!! I am so happy we were able to do it and I am glad you love the finished Art piece.

Avery - 2 yr Session Sneak Peek**

Here are some great pictures of a 2 yr Session we did last week. We had a great time reconnecting with Avery's Mom Shannon one of our Brides from a few years ago. It is so great to be apart of the process from when people start their lives as a family and then grow that family with children and pets.

Here are a few samples to share with you before we meet up this week! Thanks so much for choosing us and allowing Lori and I to spend time with you and sweet Avery!!

SEPPA April 8-12th Nashville TN

Hey guys, Long time no see!!! :-) I just got back from SEPPA this weekend. We had a great convention and it was really cool to see familiar faces and make new friends. I missed the print competition but was able to go by and check out some of the best regional work from a variety of really talented photographers from all types of fields. We had some wonderful speakers come in and talk child and portrait photography, senior studio work and some marketing classes. Not so much on Wedding photography this year however it is always good to see how others are working and what new things they are doing in the industry to keep up with the times and trends. Photography is an ever changing industry and constant practice and education is the only way you can stay up to speed. Thanks for checking us out and I will have more to come.

Maria's July wedding with Spring weather

Maria & Eric were married this month and it was the most unusual weather for July- perfect like Spring.
The ceremony was in St. Matthews Catholic Church. Both the groom and brides family surrounded the couple for a group prayer during the ceremony which was such a neat way to start their marriage. Maria's father composed the music for the wedding and voilins, violas and cellos made for such a romantic mood. The girls all had their hair styled at Rodney Mitchell Hair Salon prior to arriving at the church. The reception would also be at The Factory of Franklin- Jamison Hall. In honor of guests a donation was made to Breast Cancer Research Foundation and the Tri-State Multiple Sclerosis Assoc.  This couple is so kind and generous- they will be a dymanic duo. The reception was catered by Ambrosia Catering and the bride gave all her bridesmaids handmade crystal jewelry to wear for the special day.  After working with Maria for a year it was great to see all her dreams come true for her wedding. Thanks so much for including us!!

June... our favorite wedding month!

We love June! We were married in June and it is our favorite time of year to celebrate with other couples too. Here are some photographs of 2 great weddings we want to feature for this month's post.

Tiffany & Jim - Romance with some Chinese Style
This bride wanted to honor her groom's heritage and his parents who traveled all the way from China!

Andrea & Andrew wed on  June 27, 2009

The wedding was at Woodmont Baptist Church where the groom's father is the Pastor. The Bride was absolutely beautiful and so much fun to work with during the day. She planned so many great details that the whole event was perfect. Her coordinator Julie Fletcher did a great job on decor. The reception was at Embassy Suites in Cool Springs. Andrea was our feature bride this year in both HER magazine Nashville and Enchanted Brides Magazine. This couple was a joy to work with!
