Happy One Year Anniversary

It is hard to believe how fast the year 2008 flew by. Many of our couples are now celebrating their First Year Anniversary of marriage. Since June is our special month too- ( 7 years- Oh yeah!) we want recognize their special year. Weddings are wonderful, but the partnership of marriage everyday is such a precious gift. We celebrate those we shared a special day with last year. Best Wishes for many years to come.

An Engagement in the Franklin countryside

It was fun to spend the afternoon with David and Sarah revisiting the spot where he proposed to her! The countryside of Franklin in May is just magical and romatic. Congrats to you both and happy planning for your March wedding in 2010!

Paulie and Beki Wedding Day

This week has been absolutely incredible. All the wonderful people and different types of jobs just amazing and then we top it all off with an adorable couple Paulie and Beki. Lori and I absolutely love you guys!!! I mean it! From the moment we met I knew we were going to become good friends and have an absolute blast being apart of your wedding day. Thank you for choosing us it means so much.

You guys are so inspiring couple and we enjoyed every minute of today. Union Station did an incredible job putting everything together and it all worked out perfectly. Congratulations to you both!

Engagement with Meghan and Al

Today was the most beautiful day to be outside this year. Lori and I met up with Al and Meghan downtown at the Broadway Brewhouse this afternoon for their engagement session. We had such a fun time with them- you guys are awesome!!

It was pretty busy with everyone in town for the Marathon tomorrow but it still was a blast to be in the center of town with everyone having fun and ready to kick off the weekend. These two are so cool- even in a crowd their eyes were fixed on each other. (so in love) I think you can tell in the photos. Can't wait for the big day in September!

National Day of Prayer Breakfast

Early this morning -and I mean early 6:20am, Lori and I arrived at the Convention Center downtown around to participate in the Tennessee Goveners Prayer Breakfast. It is a wonderful event where our local government officials come together with some local church leaders and pray for our nation. It is non-denominational and great to see people of all walks of life gathered to lift God's name and ask for guidance, mercy and wisdom.

I photographed this event for The Nashville Choir while Lori sang.

We had a wonderful morning both Mayor Karl Dean and Governor Phil Bredesen attended and spoke hope for our city and state. Alison Kraus gave an amazing performance and sang with the choir. She is a true artist and it is so impressive to see someone so successful come and give of their time to show her love of God and our town. Did I mention how incredible she was?!? Words can not describe how uplifting the music was today. New to the Nashville community Scott Hamilton gave an inspirational speech about his struggles with cancer. He explained how his life was changed and impacted by prayer and how it gave him hope to continue on through his adversity.

Brittany and Cory Wedding

Saturday was Cory and Brittany's Wedding Day. They are such great people!! It is cool how God brings people into your life. We have been so blessed to work with such amazing couples and you guys are perfect examples of that.

The Church was beautiful, the bride was adorable... as usual :-). Everything went perfectly! The weather was good and we even had plenty of time to go to the Hotel Indigo downtown and gets some cool after wedding shots. I hope you guys have a great trip to Hawaii!

Congratulations Cory and Brittany! Have a wonderful time and see you when you get back. Thanks again for choosing us to be apart of your special day it was great!

New Studio

Here are the pics of the new studio. We moved down the hall for those of you who didn't know. So we are still at Marathon Village which is a photographers haven for sure. There are so many cool photographers here and even some I haven't met yet. 

I was thinking about moving but I really needed a better layout to work within and have great depth for shoots. This works out perfectly as you can see. We had our first sessions out here this past Saturday and they went great. I will post some of those images later as well. Let me know what you think!!!

We are going to try and through a Open house or something after we get through making our changes and upgrades. It will be rocking!!!!

Barker Diamond Company

The place to go for diamonds or custom jewelry here in Nashville is Barker Diamond. Randy Barker is an amazing guy and a great friend. I first met Randy almost 8 years ago now. I was referred to him by Dave Ramsey back just before Lori and I did the Financial Peace program. Just as Dave says on his radio show Randy is a teacher. I was so impressed after meeting him I just trusted him with all my jewelry purchases. He helped me, my brother and best friend all take great care of our wives to be. Not only were the diamonds and settings impeccable the prices were better than anyone in town.

Randy has always known I am a photographer and he refers people to me and I to him but we have been talking for a while about helping with some new images of his jewelry. I went in last week to talk shop and he happen to have a few pieces he was particularly proud of but they were going to be leaving the next day. So I set up shop and photographed these great pieces.

We have moved studios!!!!

Sorry we are behind on getting things up and running but we have moved studios. It has been quite exciting and a lot of hard work but we are making progress. We have a number of things to post here in the week coming up. I will post some photos of the new place and what we have done here on Monday. Until then..... jg.
